About me

Hi y’all! Thanks for stopping by! I’d like to introduce myself: For those that know me well, you know I’m inspired by all things Southern and love supporting the people and brands who represent what being Southern is all about! I myself am Southern born and bred- A wife, mother, grandmother (the best!), daughter, friend.

🤍

I’m not an expert on anything, just know a little about a lot and enjoy sharing what I do know! I enjoy good food and live music, I’m a dress enthusiast, enjoy design in all its’ forms and appreciate all the little details in between! As a writer, I’ve always been passionately curious and intrigued with the how and why. I have always saved quotes that spoke to me.

🤍

I’m also a certified Gemini- always love learning, creating and trying new things. Finding and practicing my passion has be a voyage of discovery. That expression has shifted over time and has ebbed and flowed through multiple chapters in different seasons. My hope here is to create something that speaks to you!

A few fun facts about me:

♥️ I’ve had several CREATIVE passions over the years which have included having my own Interior Design business…which at times included working alongside my mother, designing a home on tour and consulting to a former Speaker of the House!

♥️ While working at a corporate concierge company, I planned many large EVENTS and attended many grand openings.

♥️ I WROTE a monthly interior design column for a local newspaper.

♥️ My husband and I are both multi-generational Atlanta natives. Also I’m a direct descendant of Robert E Lee, hence my middle name, LEE and Ulysses S Grant hence my sister’s middle name, Grant!

♥️ My two daughters and I share the same wedding anniversary date, JUNE 20! And we each spent our kindergarten year in the very same classroom!

♥️ My family is known for their yeast waffle RECIPE “naffles” that have been handed down for 4 generations.. so far!

♥️ Because I love watching live MUSIC so much, I’ve been to more concerts than I can count! Fun fact- I played violin in the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra!

♥️ I’m a MEMORYKEEPER, documenter and collector. There’s not much that I don’t scrapbook or scrap-box. Ticket stubs, family history and celebrations, small yearly photo cards and even a Christmas card wall are a few of my ongoing projects.

♥️ If you can’t find me at the beach or mountains or traveling someplace fabulous that my youngest daughter has planned, I hope I’m hanging out with my GRANDSONS!

♥️ I try not to go anywhere without LIP SHIMMER!

They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but I say PEARLS are Southern girl’s best friend!

xoxo
